Daisy
Daisy, a young Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, came to Liv and Lo Canine full of life, curiosity, and all the classic puppy chaos. Like many puppies her age, she struggled with the basics. Jumping on people, constant biting, inconsistent potty habits, and difficulty focusing in new environments made everyday life feel overwhelming for her owner.
From the very beginning, our goal with Daisy was not just obedience. It was building a strong, confident foundation that would shape the rest of her life.
We started with the essentials such as sit, down, place, recall, and leash manners. At first, Daisy had a hard time slowing down and focusing, especially when distractions were present. Through clear communication, consistency, and structured training, she began to understand what was expected of her and started making steady progress.
A major focus of Daisy’s program was socialization and exposure. We introduced her to new environments, people, sounds, and situations in a way that built confidence rather than overwhelm. Instead of reacting impulsively, Daisy learned how to stay calm, engaged, and responsive to her handler.
We also worked through common puppy behaviors including biting, jumping, and potty training. By setting clear boundaries and reinforcing the right behaviors, Daisy transformed from a chaotic and mouthy puppy into a polite and well mannered companion.
By the end of her program, Daisy was no longer just getting by. She was thriving. She could walk nicely on leash, respond reliably to commands, settle calmly on place, and move through the world with confidence.
More importantly, her relationship with her owner completely changed. What once felt stressful became enjoyable, structured, and rewarding.
Daisy is the perfect example of why starting training early matters. With the right guidance, even the most energetic puppies can grow into well behaved, confident dogs.
